I've been looking at the portrait for quite some time. It's an old man on an antique cigar box, I have in my studio. I knew I wanted to paint it but thought it might be too ambitious on such a small scale. Today, I went for it and was quite pleased with the results. In fact, I think I'm going to hold on to this one! It looks so much better in real life as it was hard to photograph. Hope you enjoy!
